this is the first city we are staying in, we have a few days to recover/rehearse and then luis has two shows here.

our hotel is located right in the city center, walking distance to south bank

and since i know Luis isn’t overly fond of the beach, i think we will also visit the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary too :)

Recently voted one of the ‘Top 10 Zoos in the World” by AOL, Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane, is the world’s first and largest koala sanctuary, with over 130 koalas. Cuddle a koala anytime, handfeed kangaroos and encounter a large variety of Aussie wildlife, all in beautiful, natural settings.  Brisbane’s premier tourist attraction is only 50 minutes from the Gold Coast.

this city is called Surfer’s Paradise, on what is known as the Gold Coast of Australia.

Luis and i have two days off after his tour, we will be in the city of Brisbane.

Unfortunately I think the Great Barrier Reef is a little too far of a trip to make in two days. so instead I think we will go here, it’s an hour south of Brisbane

and i think we are going to stay at the Marriott resort..

and from what i can tell, most hotel rooms in Australia aren’t very nice. they are tiny and spartan with beds that look like they came from a motel 6 here in the US. so that will be interesting.

BUT this hotel has really nice rooms and bed.. like a luxury beach resort in America.. and in this case i think thats a good thing…
